More than 40 jobs have been saved after a Hampshire-based property management business was rescued out of administration.

Paul Ellison of KRE Corporate Recovery was appointed as administrator of Basingstoke-based Skilz (UK) Ltd on 13 August 2014.

Insider can reveal that, after a “detailed marketing process”, the business and assets were sold to J & I Property Services, a subsidiary of Birmingham-based Trios Property, part of the Trios Group.

Ellison said: “There were several competing bids for the business, but the future investment and commitment from the Trios Group ensures that all 42 employees remain in employment as part of a larger organisation.”

Sandra Harris, managing director of Trios Group, said that Basingstoke was an ideal location for the group to further strengthen and improve its geographical presence in the central south and south west of the country.

She added that the group plans to invest in Skilz and further develop its existing business in the area.

Trios Group is a £50m-turnover company which employs more than 600 staff in four technical divisions.
